Grupo Agrotecnología consolidates its internationalization by reinforcing its “Zero Residue” project

Grupo Agrotecnología, a pioneer in the Zero Residue strategy, ranks in the top ten in the ranking of global biological products companies, according to the most prestigious international consultancy in the sector. The effectiveness, efficiency and profitability of its products are keys in its international consolidation and guarantors of the new paradigm of innovative and sustainable agriculture.
Grupo Agrotecnología, a leading company in the field of biostimulants, biopesticides and biofertilizers has been committed since its inception to the coexistence between biology and chemistry; although previously the effectiveness of their biological products was limited, today, efficiency levels exceed 98%. This fact enables them, with the new paradigm of sustainable agriculture and within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, to optimistically consider effective, profitable and residue-free solutions.
Nature has been the main source of inspiration for Grupo Agrotecnología in developing and producing its products. The application of the innovative strategy, bioevolution technology, has made it possible to reach very high levels of proven Zero Residue efficiency. Its revolutionary products are composed of a variety of components: co-formulants, which create negative conditions for the life of pathogens; microorganisms and metabolites attack pathogens, and SAR activators and biostimulants strengthen plants’ ability to withstand abiotic stresses. Its line of biopesticide, biostimulant and biofertilizer products is marketed internationally and can be applied on plants or in soil.
Strict legislation, in terms of regulation and national and international marketing in this area, together with the growing demand for healthy food by increasingly demanding distribution chains and consumers, has forced farmers to adapt their production to new demands and challenges, i.e., a new, Zero Residue sustainable agriculture that conserves and improves biodiversity.
Grupo Agrotecnología has worked to be at the forefront of the Zero Residue movement. It has been a pioneer in developing products with this focus because it offers and guarantees the efficiency, effectiveness, profitability and quality of what it produces, while reaffirming and consolidating its true commitment and environmental strategy. The advantages of using Zero Residue products in crops are multiple: they enable efficient production and protection against pests and diseases, advanced crop nutrition, a drastic reduction in problems derived from resistances, and greater profitability for farmers while also guaranteeing the food quality and safety that society demands.
The Zero Residue strategy and commitment requires a high investment in R&D&I, “ We collaborate with the Chair of Biostimulants of the UMH and with other universities to continue researching, advancing and exceeding the levels of productivity the market requires. We are a company with great agility in R&D”, says Amaya Jordá, Agrotechnology Group’s head of marketing. The Alicante-based company also strongly invests in phytosanitary registrations of biopesticides, which are key items in international expansion and that, undoubtedly, strengthen the value of the brand. In this regard, it is adapting its structure to occupy the first position in natural biopesticide market registrations. It currently has 7 phytosanitary registrations, but it is foreseen that in the n ext two years it will expand this number to 15.
